Portolfio

Fairfield

Chilliwack, BC

When a family of seven outgrew their small old country farmhouse, we were approached to provide a new home in approximately the same location, constrained by an underground service to the south and a farm driveway to the north.

Service areas were placed to provide privacy to the living areas of the home from neighbors and the busy greenhouse business yard. The remaining walls were opened up with large expanses of windows to allowing natural light to penetrate deep into the house.  Views are directed to the backyard, over the fields and to the surrounding mountains, while capturing the sunrise and sunset.
